“In April, Fulani herdsmen attacked a group of Christians during Sunday mass, killing two priests and seventeen parishioners. The same attackers then razed fifty homes belonging to Christians. In fact, earlier in the year, on New Year’s Day, 72 people died at the hands of a Fulani attack.” Danger grows for Christians in Nigeria, a nation that at one time was nearly 100% Christian.

At the request of the Diapers for Refugees ministry partner in Iraq, the number of diapers for infants and toddlers was increased and additional help was supplied for women’s needs and the elderly. The number of families returning to their burned-out homes in Qaraqosh and other Christian towns made the increase necessary, as some families who used to obtain diapers from other sources in the Erbil area can no longer do so. As a result, our costs in December increased from $18,000 to $23,475.

The Religious Freedom Coalition is joining in the fight to #RescueMeriam Ibrahim from a Sudan prison. She faces 100 lashes and death by hanging for refusing to deny her faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The penalty of 100 lashes is for “adultery” (having sexual relations with her Christian husband). Death by hanging is for “apostacy” – leaving Islam.

Contrary to popular belief there are many godly men in Congress and many of them, both Democrats and Republicans, are members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus. This group of more than 100 congressmen just do more than pray together each week, they take action. The issues the Prayer Caucus is involved in support the social fabric of our nation.
